These creations belong to the Mahayana chapter of Buddhism and apparently were painted originally. Some statues seem unfinished.
A must visit place for all nature and history lovers. There are several Buddhist statues engraved on the rock (which also is the meaning of the name of place). The access road and surrounding is beautiful. The walk towards the rock is through a nice tree cover and a little forest. Be mindful of the monkeys. We met a local guide who was well aware of the history and is providing the historical background.
