Description

One of the main attractions in Ambewela is the Ambewela Farm, which is the largest and most well-known dairy farm in Sri Lanka. The farm spans over a vast area and is operated by the Milco (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of the National Livestock Development Board. Visitors to Ambewela can take guided tours of the farm, where they can observe the dairy cows being milked and learn about the process of milk production.

Ambewela is also home to the Ambewela New Zealand Farm, which was established as a joint venture between Sri Lanka and New Zealand to promote modern farming practices and improve livestock breeds.
