Description

Dunhinda Falls is a magnificent waterfall located near the town of Badulla in the Uva Province of Sri Lanka. It is one of the most iconic and tallest waterfalls in the country, cascading from a height of approximately 64 meters (210 feet) down a rocky cliff.

The name “Dunhinda” translates to “smoky” or “misty” in the Sinhala language, which aptly describes the appearance of the waterfall as it plunges down into a pool below, generating a fine mist and creating a spectacular sight.

To reach Dunhinda Falls, visitors typically embark on a short hike through a forested area, following a well-maintained trail that leads to the base of the waterfall.
